It’s important to show love towards others even if its a stranger, because that smile that you give to another might be the very thing that keeps them from committing suicide. It’s important that we pay attention to others because all the signs of depression and suicide might be in front of us and we can prevent it, but we are often too focused on ourselves (myself included) to notice others. So let us show love towards others and focus on the people around us, strangers or good friends; everyone deserves to feel like they are loved and that they belong. Let’make this sad statistic into a positive one….let it say 0 people die each day because someone else took the time out to smile or to talk to them and to show that someone does care about their life.

This blog is dedicated to my best friend mai :) I have one of the best friends ever. Her name is mai. I knew her sister Kalia first (who is also one of my bffs) I met mai the first week of my first year at college through Kalia. I’ve only known her about a year but we are the best of friends. She is the most amazing person in the world. We can tell each other everything. And I trust her completely. She is such a great friend and helps me when I need her help. Mai is the best person to be around. I’m so glad I met her and that I have her as my best friend. I know that we will be best friends forever and no one or nothing can come between our friendship.

I have had this palette for about a year and I love it. It is a great palette for neutral eye looks. It is ideal for day because there are soft yet pigmented neutral colors. There are also more vibrant and deeper shades for a night time smokey eye look.

I have found multiple uses for this palette. For example, I use the darker colors for an eyeliner. I also use a fair amount of product of a deeper shade in my crease to give my eyes more definition.

This palette contains 32 eyeshadow colors. These shadows are very soft and blendable. I advise you to use an eyeshadow primer (Elf’s $1 eyelid primer is good…and its the one I use everyday) to keep your eyeshadow from increasing and to improve the staying power.

This eyeshadow palette is very affordable it was $5 and has great pigmentation. There are also a variety of colors and finishes. It has some shimmery finishes and some matte finishes. There is a lot of product for the price. I’ve had mine for a year and I have not used up much and I use it constantly. I loved it so much I bought another one so when it finishes I have a backup. I have taken this palette when I travel and it fits nicely in my suitcase and its perfect because it offers a variety of looks.

My earliest memory would have to be when I was maybe 3 or 4 years old. I remember my sister hanging out with her friends outside and they were acting silly such as running around the front yard. I remember just looking at them and then looking up at the stars in the sky. This is the first memory that I can vividly recall.

The very beauty of God’s creation.

Is it me or does it seem like the branches of the tree make an outline of a shape of another tree? A tree within a tree. I hadn’t noticed it when I took the picture. I simply took the picture because I thought the sight was beautiful. I noticed it when I had to find a picture for a conceptual category for a studio critique project for my art appreciation class. For the conceptual category of the critique I had to find a picture I had taken or take a picture of something where I saw something else in it. After desperate searching through pictures in my phone low and behold this is the picture that fit the category perfectly. A tree within a tree. All part of God’s beautiful creation.

Friendships create some of the greatest memories and moments.

Before I explain the picture such as why there is a pair of empty shoes and the significance of the photo let me share some helpful background information.

This picture was taken in my Lit and Expression class. I had the greatest teacher. She was very cool and laid back. She would give us an assignment which didn’t take us long to complete. After the assignment we pretty much did whatever we wanted to…as long as it wasn’t disruptive to the other classrooms next door.

My friends and I would talk the rest of the class period. We would paint each others nails…what better way to spend a class period than having your nails done by one of your friends. We would play Ninja, which was always fun. And lastly we would do the craziest and most random things. Such as this…arranging ourselves in shapes to take “unique” pictures.

For some reason this day we decided to have a “picture day” of our own. I’ll admit it. I thought of the idea to form the shape of a star. Why? I have no idea I thought it would be fun and different. I know…it’s somewhat weird and corny. But I enjoy being silly and having fun…especially with my friends. Now to explain the pair of empty shoes…there were only four of us that day…the rest were absent. So we had to improvise. My friend decided to take off her flats and have the pair be an extra set of feet to complete the star. Hence the empty pair of flats and barefooted feet.

This picture represents more than a star to me…to us. It represents a visual symbol of our friendship, but also represents an abstract form that might not be visible to others if not explained. It represents memories and great/silly times.

This picture represents the memories and great times I had my senior year in Lit and Expression class with my friends. Although I can’t remember the classroom number to save my life the people, and moments are vivid.

Although its been a year since I’ve last hung out with these friends they will always share my memories with me.

I recently finished my first year of college and I’ve met so many new friends. It’s just the beginning of new memories and moments that will be unforgettable.

As I look back on this picture I can’t help but to smile and think of the amazing people that I got to hang out with my senior year in Lit and Expression class and the memories and moments we shared.

However now its time to create new memories…because each day is new and so are the people that you meet.

God truely wants the best for you and he wants you to prosper in every way that is good. Trust in Him and you will experience His love and discover his amazing attributes. I have experienced His love and amazing grace and blessings in my life. He makes the impossible possible. Why? Because he is God…everything exists because of Him and He has control over everything. God is the very definition of love.

Many people including myself at one time think that the Bible is this boring book that is hard to understand and has no meaning or relation to life. However it is interesting and has the power to change lives. It’s filled with amazing promises that were promised by God to you. I encourage you to open up the book to find answers to your problems or to discover the promises that God has for you. It was written especially for you. His promises remain true because God is a faithful God.
